The sale is held as a one day event on-site in the home. All items are prepared for sale; they are cleaned, priced based on fair market value and displayed for the sale day. One of the keys to a successful sale is getting people to the event and therefore we utilize several means of reaching out to buyers. The sale is advertised on our website along with photos of items. We also maintain an email list and send details of our sales to our buyer customers. We also use a number of popular websites to post our sales as well as putting advertisements in the newspaper. Following the sale, any items that do not sell are donated to charity and the family receives credit for the donation. The home is then cleaned and readied for sale.
